Calla Lily Glass Tile

Calla Lily Glass Tile is another one of our intricate designs. Trimmed with florals, this piece will make you feel like you're in the garden. Leaves and tiles are featured among numerous lilies and other types of flowers. If you look hard enough, you'll find roses, daffodils, pussy willows, daisies, and peonies!

We encourage stitchers who purchase this pattern to use kreinik and blending to make it their own. Although charted in black, its always nice to see different colours incorporated on a chart like this - especially when its full of flowers!

Blackwork is a historical form of counted embroidery work that was typically used to adorn the cuffs and collars of fine clothing. True blackwork was completely reversible so even if the cuff was flipped inside out, it would look the same. Clothing made with details this fine was only available to Royalty and the elite echelons of society back in the day. This series of patterns uses backstitch and are not designed to be truly reversible – just fun, easy (but intricate) stitching! Enjoy!
